  • We are a Shrewsbury based sewage pollution campaigning group started in 2021 in response to recurrent discharges into the River Severn in and around our area.

  • We are engaged in community activism for clean water and healthy ecosystems for future generations, a first step in achieving this goal is, we believe, public, not private ownership.

  • We are an active group growing in presence and influence. If you care for the Severn as much as we do we would love to hear from you.

January……Local councillor responds to USC protest by tabling a                       motion for action.*
February…..USC ‘Poo-llution’ outreach hits Ironbridge.*

July……….  USC protests Hafren Water presenting to the Council.                     Poo-o-meter launches at Dragon Boat Race.*
November…USC invited to tour sewage works at Monkmoor.

February……Severn Source visit. Start of water testing training.
March………World Water Day: Severn Spirit Procession. People’s                        Assembly for water, with report going to Defra, Clive                          Lewis MP and People’s Commission for water.                                   Screening of ‘Holy Shit’ at Unitarian Church. Water                            testing form set up.
People’s Water meeting. Severn Film started.*

2026
February…Severn Beach visit.
March…….USC delegation to Parliament for MP drop in session                   with Julia Buckley. Severn Spirit Procession:* Our                         Water Our Future. 
April………USC presentation to PPP Shrewsbury.
June………Starting to link our collected data with CasSTCo.                         Meeting with local politicians for the intention to draw                   up a Charter for Severn.
